W. Jeffrey Pardue, C.E.P.
Mr. W. Jeffrey Pardue is Senior Vice President of BDA and is certified as an Environmental Professional by the Academy of Board Certified Environmental Professionals. He opened and manages the company’s Brooksville office and serves as the principal-in-charge on numerous projects. Mr. Pardue’s academic background is in aquatic biology with research in aquatic toxicity. Mr. Pardue has over 30 years of environmental experience, 24 of which were in the electric power industry.
In addition to his management responsibilities, Mr. Pardue currently provides his expertise to assist the residential, commercial, and industrial development sector. He conducts ecological due diligence pre-purchase evaluations, wetlands delineations, wildlife and threatened and/or endangered (T&E) species surveys, water quality assessments, prepares mitigation plans, and negotiates and secures permits at the federal, state, and local level. He has over six years of environmental experience in the commercial aviation sector. He provides environmental support to his clients in more formal proceedings such as the Development of Regional Impact, Environmental Assessments (EA), and electric power plant and transmission line certification. He has also provided expert witness testimony in water quality and environmental matters relating to the electric power industry. Through his 24 years in the electric power industry, he has developed a breadth of environmental experience that includes, air quality, solid and hazardous waste, and water quality. As the Director of Environmental Services at Florida Power Corporation, Mr. Pardue was fully responsible for all aspects of environmental policy, permitting, and compliance, including legislative/regulatory affairs technical support at the state and federal level. Additionally, Mr. Pardue has authored numerous technical papers, and provided testimony before a United States Senate Subcommittee on Florida’s Total Maximum Daily Load program.
Mr. Pardue began his career at the Tennessee Valley Authority, conducting site selection studies for nuclear, steam, and hydroelectric facilities. He also conducted EA studies related thermal impact assessments, entrainment and impingement studies, chemical discharge assessments, T&E species studies, water quality, and biological impact studies.
